Rincon Sailing is hosting the US Sailing Level 1 Small Boat Instructor Certification on December 10-11 & 17-18. It is a 4 day 40 hour course over two weekends.

NASBLA (National Association of State Boating Law Administrators ) Safe Boating certification. Earn your certification at one of US SAILING's Safe Powerboat Handling Courses or see a current list of approved providers. BoatUS is also a simple resource for this information, although not all states have approved their course. See available BoatUs online courses. Candidates holding a current USCG full or limited Master's or OUPV license are exempt from this requirement. Candidates have a responsibility to meet the boating laws of the state where the course is being held prior to being able to operate a powerboat in conjunction with the course. This is a new requirement. Please bring your certificate to the course.

Pick a day and come sailing after school! Weather permitting, we offer the following After School Sailing on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Coaching and instructional focus includes boat handling, seamanship, racing, sportsmanship and fun.
Space is limited. Guarantee your boat and 12 Coaching Sessions for $150.00. Drop in rate is $20.00/person.

We provide opportunities for adults including the following private or group classes:
INTRODUCTION TO SAILING (4 Hours) $120.00
This intro class is for those who have never sailed before and want to give it a try. The basics are covered, parts of the boat, rigging and sailing. After this short introduction to sailing, you will have a good idea if this is something you want to pursue.
LEARN TO SAIL (12 Hours) $360.00
Our Learn-to-Sail course is based on the US Sailing Small Boat Course Curriculum. You will be given the knowledge to comfortably and independently sail by the end of this course. The course is three 4-hour sessions. Class must be paid in full in advance.

OPTIMIST LEARN TO SAIL (ages 8-15)
SUNFISH & LASER LEARN TO SAIL (ages 12-17)
Course Dates: 6/27 - 7/1, 7/25 - 7/29, or 8/1 - 8/5
Learn to sail an Optimist, Sunfish or Laser in a fun safe environment with your friends. This class is an ideal on-the-water experience, providing a platform to learn basic sailing skills that will last a lifetime. Students will gain confidence, leadership, and increase independence in this team building environment.
10 DAY COURSE MONDAY-FRIDAY 8AM-12PM
OPTIMIST INTERMEDIATE (ages 8-15)
SUNFISH & LASER INTERMEDIATE (ages 12-17)
Course Dates: 6/13 – 6/24 OR 7/11 – 7/22
Sailors build on the fundamental skills learned in LEARN TO SAIL classes. Students will gain confidence and increase independence with their sailing skills, boat handling, and beginning racing skills will be introduced.
10 DAY COURSE MONDAY-FRIDAY 8AM-12PM
OPTIMIST RACING (ages 8-15)
SUNFISH & LASER RACING (ages 12-17)
Course Dates: 6/13 – 6/24 OR 7/11 – 7/22
Students will concentrate on sailing strategy, tactics, teamwork, and tuning, preparation for racing. Students will be encouraged to participate in local racing events.

RINCON SAILING TO HOST US SAILING COUNSELOR COURSE
RINCON SAILING is hosting a US Sailing Counselor Course May 19 - 20, 2011. The US Sailing Counselor course is a two day course designed to prepare camp counselors. The emphasis is on safety and hands-on practice to familiarize candidates with proper terminology and boating techniques. The minimum age for attending this course is 14 years old.
