Rincón Sailing Academy is accepting registrations for Summer 2012! We are providing courses in Optimist, Lasers, & Sunfish this year for students of all ages, skills, and abilities. PICK YOUR CLASSES DEPENDING ON AGE OR PRIOR EXPERIENCE

LIFE AQUATICA May 21 - 25, (Ages 5-8) Come swim, snorkel, sail, & stand up kayaking in the living classroom of the marina. Learn about the plants, animals & ecosystems of Tres Palmas Marine Reserve.

LEARN TO SAIL June 4 - 8, June 18 - 22, July 9 - 13, July 23 - 27, July 30 - Aug 3, Aug 6 - 10, OPTIMIST (ages 8-15) SUNFISH & LASER (ages 12-17) Learn to Sail in an Optimist, Sunfish or Laser. This class is an ideal on-the-water experience, providing basic fundamental sailing skills that will last a lifetime.

INTERMEDIATE SAILING June 11 - 15, July 16 - 20, Aug 6 - 10, OPTIMIST (ages 8-15) SUNFISH & LASER (ages 12-17) Sailors build on the fundamental skills learned in Learn to Sail. Students will gain confidence and increase independence with their sailing skills, boat handling, and beginning racing skills will be introduced.

RACING June 25 - 29, Aug 6 - 10,OPTIMIST (ages 8-15) SUNFISH & LASER (ages 12-17) Students will concentrate on sailing strategy, tactics, teamwork, and tuning, preparation for racing. Students will be encouraged to participate in local racing events.

RINCON SAILING TO HOST US SAILING COUNSELOR COURSE

RINCON SAILING is hosting a US Sailing Counselor Course May 19 - 20, 2011. The US Sailing Counselor course is a two day course designed to prepare camp counselors. The emphasis is on safety and hands-on practice to familiarize candidates with proper terminology and boating techniques. The minimum age for attending this course is 14 years old. Private & Group Lessons Available. Our Learn-to-Sail course is based on the US Sailing Small Boat Course Curriculum. You will be given the knowledge to comfortably and independently sail by the end of this course. The course is three 4-hour sessions. Class must be paid in full in advance. Call for reservations!
